64-bit version of iCash availability

Topics

Question: I run iCash successfully now on my iMac. The next upgrade of macOS does not allow 32-bit versions of software. Now iCash runs as a 32-bit version. Is there already a 64-bit version available ? Thank you for an answer.

Answer: Yes indeed, macOS 10.3 High Sierra is the last Apple Desktop OS to support 32bit applications officially. I mean next 10.4 may allow 32bit applications to run but it will be unsupported. Nobody really know what will happen after June 2018.

We have been working on 64bit version of all our software, including iCash for quite some time and we will have no problems to build 64bit version quite soon. You will find updated information on this here: 64bit versions of maxprog products.

In addition Apple have added a new rule during the last WWDC, after June 2018 all 32bit applications will be removed from the App Store and starting on January only 64bit submissions will be accepted. So we have no choice, update or die.
