Freezes after pref change

Question: The app was checking a large eamil list (1'200 lines). I opened preferences and chaned from 10 to 25 threads and the app froze. I closed the window and opened a new one and restarted it and its working. My question is how many threads can I use. I have nothing else going on. I have a 12 core 2012 mac pro - 64 mb memory.

Answer: I usually recommend 5 or 10 threads. It is far enough for this purpose. Using more threads will not necessarily make the testing process faster, it can even cause problems or make it slower.

We are working on a 64-bit version of eMail Verifier with lots of optimizations. Maybe then you will be able to use more threads. The new version is still in development but I believe it will be ready for 2018 first quarter.
