Question: I'd like to get MLM installed on my server, but my hosting company had this to say: "The server you host on is Linux based. The software you have asked us to install has base requirements of Macintosh or Windows. This server is neither of those, so we do not have recommendations as to who would be able to get the software working on the VPS.

I recommend seeking assistance through the software providers forums to determine if there may be some other set of instructions to Linux installations that we have not seen. Their forums are located at:

If you can get working instructions for potential installation and system requirements for the software to work on Linux, then we can further review this for the possibility of installation."

Please advise if installation is possible, and if you have someone you could recommend who I could hire to do the installation.

Answer: MLM is LAMP software. LAMP stands for 'Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP'. That means MLM is a PHP script that uses MySQL for data storage and runs on the Linux system with Apache as the web server. This type of combination is very popular so there are great chances it will work on your server.
