MX record not found

Topics

Question: I just upgraded to your latest version to find that my problem still exists. Regardless of what email address I type in, I always get an error saying that the MX record could not be resolved.

Answer: eMail Verifier uses by default your computer or router DNS server. If that doesn't work you can open the eMail Verifier preferences and enter a different server. Last eMail Verifier versions allow you to enter as many server as you wish. By default we have added Google DNS servers, 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4. There are others you can use for free:

OpenDNS
DNS Primario: 208.67.222.222
DNS Secundario: 208.67.220.220

Comodo Secure DNS
DNS Primario: 8.26.56.26
DNS Secundario: 8.20.247.20

Norton ConnectSafe
DNS Primario: 198.153.192.50
DNS Secundario: 198.153.194.50
