Answer: eMail Verifier was designed to use the Plain Text file format for list import and export. eMail Verifier doesn't know how to handle proprietary binary files. As a result, eMail Verifier is not able to import e-mail addresses directly from a native Excel 'xls' or 'xlsx' file. In order to import e-mail addresses from an Excel sheet, you need to save it as a Plain Text file first. Here is how:
- Open your Excel sheet.
- Select the 'File | Save As...' menu.
- Select 'Text (Tab delimited)' from the Format pull-down menu.
- Give a name and click on the Save button.
- Import the resulting file with eMail Verifier.
That applies to any file saved as a proprietary binary. |
