14.- Importar datos

Para importar datos desde otra aplicación de bases de datos, necesita exportarla a un formato común como texto delimitado por tabulaciones o texto delimitado por comas. Una vez que tenga los datos en un formato que iCash pueda manejar, solo tiene que hacer click en el botón de importar, seleccionar el archivo de datos y presionar "Abrir". Entonces se abrirá un panel mostrando todos los campos incluidos en el archivo de datos. Puede usar el menú de delimitador de datos para elegir el formato adecuado y para previsualizar los datos actuales. Puede usar las flechas de izquierda y derecha situados en la parte superior para navegar por las diferentes entradas del archivo.

iCash le ayuda durante el proceso de importación, dándole la posibilidad de importar datos de la manera que desee, es decir, los campos que necesite en el orden que quiera usando uno de los cuatro delimitadores disponibles: tabulación, coma, dos puntos o punto y coma. Lo más probable es que el orden de los campos en su base de datos no se corresponda con el de iCash. Solo tiene que seleccionar una celda y usar las flechas de arriba y abajo situadas en la parte derecha del panel hasta que correspondan los campos. Puede navegar por las entradas del archivo para verificar que todo está en su lugar. Una vez alineados los campos, presione el botón "Importar" y sus datos se importarán.

Nota: iCash le permite guardar los ajustes para su uso posterior. Use el menú de ajustes para crear, cargar o borrar sus ajustes.

iCash es capaz de importar de archivos QIF. Primero tiene que exportar en formato QIF desde su anterior programa de contabilidad. Puede hacerlo en un único archivo o 3 archivos separados: categorías, cuentas y transacciones. Estos archivos se han de importar a iCash en el mismo orden.

iCash soporta también las importaciones OFX (conocido algunas veces como QFX). OFX es una especificación unificada para el intercambio electrónico de datos financieros entre instituciones, empresas y particulares vía Internet. OFX es un formato muy a menudo utilizado por los bancos en línea para las exportaciones de datos ya que está basado en el lenguaje XML. Para importar un archivo OFX, seleccionar el menú Archivo | Importar | OFX , seleccionar OFX en la ventana importación, pulsar el botón Importar y seleccionar el archivo.
