Updating from 8.5 to 8.6

I originally downloaded 8.5 form the app store and just updated the newest version and am having trouble retrieving my activation code.

When you purchase an application from the AppStore, there is no serial. Apple handles the registration thru an internal signature system. To get a serial follow this link.
