Hello,
I am a new user of iCash. I have used the import function to import my 2010 transactions. I have discover how to split transactions but I have a problem with some of them, involving both TVA taxes used in Canada. Here is a sample of my entry, also of my way of defining the taxes accounts. Here, we have federal tax (5 %) and provincial tax (7,5 %) which is accrued, meaning it is 7.5 % over 5 % (example, i Buy something for 1,00 $, I pay 0,05 $ fed tax and 0,07875 $ of prov. tax for a total of 1,13 $ (rounding to next higher cent).
This should be the same, if I buy or if I sell something. Except that the amount I shall give to the government is the received taxes minus the payed taxes. I have charged more than payed, then I give money to the government. If I have payed more than charged, then the government gives me back some money. This is done every month.
I need to take this into account and be able to get some report for these transactions to be able to give or ask for some money from my government.
Can you help me clear this thing out?
Thanks
