Runtime Error with new 8.5.6.

Hi,

Just installed new 8.5.6. and got this.. when openeing it.

It opened list okat but when I clicked Settings Tab it came up again

Runtime error
Common\Socket\TCPSocketWin.cpp:99
Failure Condition:!name.lsEmpty()

Have you tried to desinstall previous version and then install this new one? and to reboot the computer?

No just let it do its thing.. Close down and reinstall.

Didn't want to lose mr 'Recent Files' etc., but if you suggest, I will uninstall from Win10 and reinstall.

Uninstalled from Win10 Program area, cold booted box, reinstalled, yet still got that message.

The programn opens up but wheh I click ojn Settings is closes dowm

I will go back to previous version if no answer soon.

I'll uninstall again.. close down, reinstall and see if it happens again.

I have Win 10 Pro

Okay, uninstalled via Win10, closed down, restart, installed again same thing.

It first came immediately after last install panel.

Clicked Ok and it opened okay

All tabs worked except Settings.

2nd time I selected Setting it all closed down.

When I select it from Start Menu, I get that panel again.

I will uninstall again and install the last version to see if it happens, as it never did until this vers.

Well 8.5.5. loaded without that message.

I will now re download 8.5.6. and see if it is okay.

Maybe my download was corrupt.

I got that message again after updateing to 8.5.6.

So it is only 8.5.6.

I have exactly the same problem with the new version. I was hoping it would fix some other problems with 8.5.5, but while I can send messages the hyperlinks still don't work. Any reason to keep using 8.5.6?

Hi,

As this is not fixed, and Iam not sure what else it is doing behind the scenes,
I am going back to the previous version.

Every time I click the Settings tab I get it as well as when I start the program.

Can you look at that file C:\Users\<your_account_name>\Documents\Maxprog\MaxBulk Mailer\Error Logs\

Any error there?
