Rules Disappearing

I've been using the Email Bounce Handler since March 5, 2010. June 7th all my rules disappeared. I see how to restore the default rules, but I had set up about 25 of my own rules to catch the other email bounces I receive. Is there any way to pick these rules back up? I do not want to spend hours sorting through the 13,000 bounces I just read in with no rules to recreate the special ones.

I reverted to one I had backed up on an external drive, but it would still be good if you could get this fixed.

Rules are saved with all your documents. Also you can make a backup of the software preferences.

I lost my rules again today. This loss may be related to shutting down in an odd way. My "Stop" button is grayed out most of the time, so if I have to shut down to move to another location I hit the red "X" at the top right corner and choose save when asked. When I came back up this afternoon I noticed that my rules were gone. Once again, the Preferences tab is missing about 20 rules I added. I guess I need to manually add them to Preferences so I can recreate Rules whenever this happens.
