Precedence header: 'bulk' vs 'list'

I understood that Precedence header is important to ensure email delivery, but I could not understand what the difference between "bulk" and "list" values.
Since I'm sending bulk emails to a mailing list of subscribers, I assumed "list" to be preferable but I had no chance to find information about the "list" value, while Google only talks about "bulk" value for Precedence header in its documentation dedicated to bulk email senders.
May I have some clarification / suggestion? Thanks

'List' means 'Discussion list', you know, what we had before web-based forums. They were e-mail based forums.

uh oh... so I was wrong thinking that "list" referred to "mailing list"... so I should set Precedence as "bulk" for delivery to my newsletter's subscribers! Good to know. Thanks
