List Size and Type

Is there a preferred list record size? Does the file type (.csv versus .txt) make a difference?

We just upgraded to the latest Mac version and it seems to be running very slowly. I've converted our .csvs to .txt to see if that would make a difference (it doesn't seem to). I've also played with the advanced settings (retries and threads) to see if I could get a speedy pass.


Any insights or suggestions are appreciated.

If you refer to test speed then the file type has no effect. I wrote a page about email Verifier speed. Its is available here: here. That document may give you some clued about why it is so slow.

Follow up question:

Any insight as to why the tool would stop in the middle of a verification? Been getting beach ball of death a few times, often around the same email number. Is it just the response back from the other end is taking that long?

Are you using current 3.7.2? Can you tell me your settings? (or post screenshots of the settings panels?)
