Custom links tag and turning off lm tracking?

We'd like to send e-mails out to customers inviting them to participate in our online survey. We use Typeform. Each customer will have an individual html link to their survey, and I've successfully added that as a tag just using Opt 1. Everything works great, but when the recipient clicks on the link to the survey, it changes and no longer matches what's in the Opt 1 field. It seems to add the LM tracking url before the survey link.

Questions is, can I safely turn off the click-through tracking option for these types of e-mail sends, since it's a custom survey, without messing it up in the future for other types of my usual marketing e-mail sends?

thanks,
L

Yes, you can turn MLM off if needed, send a message to yourself to make sure everything works. It is weird that MLM is causing that problem though. MLM does tracking and should automatically forward the recipient to your page...

Thanks!

It's an odd setup compared to our usual e-mail blasts, as it's supposed to do a merged redirect to the Typeform link for our survey.

We did a test, and that's how we learned that there's a string in front of our custom Typeform link.

Here's the original that went in the Opt 1 field:
https://ldvcustomersurvey.typeform.com/ ... etcity.org

And what went out:
https://www.ldvusa.com/marketing/lm/lm. ... etcity.org

The result was the correct landing at the Typeform link, but with a {{fname}}, instead of the recipient's name. Not a big deal, just weird.

Turned off the click-through tracking option, and it works perfectly. Typeform may not like too long of a string or something. One of those "it's them not us" issues. :)
