Updating from 8.5 to 8.6

I originally downloaded 8.5 form the app store and just updated the newest version and am having trouble retrieving my activation code.

Spell Checker Stopped Working

I'm using a Mac with 10.10.5 OS and Max Mailer Pro 8.5 The spell check option is now Grey and i cannot run the spell checking on any of my newsletters. any advice?
