zoho smtp settings - questions don't match their answers

hello,
i'm trying to configure maxbulk mailer to send emails via my zoho mail account but i'm having difficulty with the settings.
the smtp settings on the zoho page are quite simple (i've used them to connect to outlook no problem):
Outgoing Server Name: smtp.zoho.com
Port: 465
Security Type: SSL
Require Authentication: Yes.

however, the authentication options maxbulk gives me are:
-none
-pop
-esmtp
-pop

and there are several SSL options ranging from 'deactivated' to SSL2, SSL3, SSL2/3, TLS...etc..

none of the options maxbulk are offering match the simple settings offered by the zoho support page.

maxbulk tries to connect, but either hangs for 13+ minutes (i'm only trying to send ONE test message to ONE test recipient), while i've only specified 1 Connection, and then either fails to connect, or after appearing to connect to the smtp it gives the error that one or more of my connections was dropped. (even though i've only specified ONE connection.)

i'm in a trial version of this software. is that the reason? can i not send out emails during the trial?

i want to buy this software, but not if it can't connect to my mail server zoho.

please help!

many thanks,

alan

thanks for the suggestion.

using TLSv1 Exp the error says can´t decode my username and password.

using TLSv1 it connects but then says "one or more connections were unexpectedly closed by your mail server" even though i´m only using 1 connection.

any other suggestions? for now i´m only trying to send it to one recipient, my personal account.

thanks!

there must be other maxbulk mailer users asking about ZOHO smtp settings. would you guys mind posting the appropriate settings for ZOHO in the support page along with all the other email account settings?
thanks!

if maxbulk mailer does not work with zoho mail accounts, please just let me know and i will shop for another html email program. yours looked excellent, but i am not willing to abandon my email provider for it.

thanks,
alan

MaxBulk Mailer works with all kind of servers, it is just a matter of getting the settings from your server. What are those settings? Please post them all except your credentials and I will tell you where to put the info. All you need is the smtp server address, port (if not 25) and SSL type if any.
