Unsubscribe Options

I send out newsletters on a regular basis.

I also have to send to people within the company
copies of what is being send to our clients.

Sometimes, our people accidentally press unsubscribe,
when they're not supposed to. The boss wants to be SURE
they get every mailout
(whether they like it or not .... they are OUR own people anyway)
so we are AL on the same page on our newsletter and Marketing promotions.

Is there a way to PREVENT them from unsubscribing?
Maybe disable unsubscribe on my domain
(they are OUR own people anyway)?

Can that be done? and how?

No, there is no way to do that except setting MLM to show a unsubscribe confirmation page. This is a setting in the lm_prefs.php file.

I have tried doing a QUICK SELECTOR,
searching for my domain in the email field
and
perform the following action: Select
in would be great if you could add SUBSCRIBE
(at the moment, you only have ACTIVATE, DEACTIVATE, SELECT, UNSELECT, MARK AS SENT & MARK AS UNSENT)
I would be able to save it as a PreSet and be able to do it in less steps.

Is that a possibility??

You can select 'Select' and then use the 'Recipients > Mark > As Subscribed' menu. The Quick Selector is a selection tool that has been enhanced little by little.

Anyway I take note of your request.

Any chance of making a white list (just as you have a blacklist),
for people in my organisation who "accidentally" always unsubscribe?
They all MUST receive our monthly sales promo in order to
know what's on special and market it accordingly.

At the moment, it takes too many steps to put them in AGAIN each time I have a bailout.
Unless, there is a more simple way I am not aware off. Any suggestions?

You can put them in a file and drop it to the list regularly so they get added again.

Unfortunately that does NOT work.

They are marked already as unsubscribed.
I can subscribe them AGAIN by right clicking and selecting SUBSCRIBE.
This involves finding and selecting them all first.

On the other hand if I drop a file called SUBSCRIBE containing the address I want to re-subscribe ( as you suggest ). It does NOT work. They are still UNSUBSCRIBED ….. but I think this is how it should be anyway….

I still think a WHITE LIST would be a better option if it can be implemented. Once in a white list, they should receive the email, regardless.

Unless there is still another better way … that works….

I find this white list system dangerous, don't you? Thousands of users may use it wrongly and get troubles with their unsubscribe recipients... That white list would make any change in a list useless... :-/
