Unsub tag won't work

Recently upgraded to OSX 10.9 and have seen no issues, except for one minor and seemingly intermittent problem: getting an Unsubscribe tag to stick.

I've tried the usual troubleshooting, clearing prefs, restarting, creating a new document and even copying the code from a previous email that has the proper Unsubscribe tag that works. The results are just a single space where the word unsubscribe used to be. But the code still looks normal.

I just noticed that when I select the word "unsubscribe" in my text to assign the tag to it, the tag appears at the very bottom of the screen. Screenshots attached.

Any ideas?

I'm really sorry. Haven't had enough coffee this morning to think clearly. The moment I assigned a mailing list to it, the Unsub tag works just fine. I can't seem to delete the original post, feel free to do so.

Glad you could sort it out
