Unhandled Response issue

I'm using version 8.5 on a Mac laptop using OS X 10.11. I last used the program in May without any issues. The same has been true for the last 3 years.

I had a change in my password this month (GMAIL) and updated it in MBM. That's it.

Now I only get an error of a Unhandled Response when trying to send messages.
Then the error message eventually changes to "... one or more connections were unexpectedly closed by your mail server".

I am using 1 connection everything else is has its been for the past 3 years.

All my mail accounts work perfectly on my laptop and phone. What am I doing incorrectly in MBM?

What is the exact error, the error sent bu the server?

I am now no longer getting the same error response. I have 3 Google accounts. I have tried all with your program and all get the same response. Verified all passwords. All work perfectly in Mail. So I know that the name password combo is OK.

What could be happening to block all of them since all I did was change a password? Can the new OS be causing some trouble?

Have heard no more from you. My mailing is due to go out tomorrow for my show. I have now received the attached. I corrected their error and still do not get a connection meanwhile all my other mail works. What am I doing wrong?

Try to go here: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps
and turn off the double security option.
