Trouble with Japanese Character Encoding ISO-2022-JP

I've been sending newsletters to my customers for a few month with Maxbulk now. I encountered this same text encoding issue a number of times, so I'm reporting it here in the hope that you could provide a solution or fix the program.

.. Oh, and I'm a very happy customer other that this issue! Thanks.

PROBLEM
I need to send the emails in ISO-2022-JP character encoding, but in some cases the email body is sent blank even when a lot of text should be there. All other elements (email title etc.) shows up okay. When I change the encoding to UTF-8, the mail body gets sent correctly, but my customers with old email software and certain versions of MS Outlook complains about not being able to read it! So, I'd like to stick to ISO-2022-JP. as it is the most compatible Japanese text encoding here in Japan.

SOLUTIONS TRIED
- I've tested to see if some particular portions of the email text is causing the issue , with some limited success. But I still can not predict what's causing it.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
Maxbulk 7.9.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 Intel

Please let me know if there's any additional info I should provide. I thought of pasting the email headers, but it contains email addresses... Thanks!

If you'd like to test with the actual Japanese text that works and the one that makes the mail body blank, I'll be happy to send it to you via email, if that helps. Just an idea...

If it is Plain Text MaxBulk Mailer sends the text exactly as is with no modifications, the encoding you select has to match the encoding of the text you are pasting (if you are pasting it from somewhere else).

I've also tried to type text within the MaxBulk Mailer, but there's still the same issue... Will try to experiment more. Thanks for your assistance for now!
