Spell check is greyed out!

Hi all. I'm using Maxbulk Mailer version 8.1.1-US. I'm probably missing something simple here but I cannot get spell check to work-- when I select "Spelling" under "Edit", the options are greyed out. The message is in the Styled Text format. Help please! Thanks!

What operating system are you using? The spellchecker is only available on the Mac version since Mac OS X includes a spell checker.
