Hi

Got some bounced emails with the following message

"A problem was found in an Email message you sent.
This Email scanner intercepted it and stopped the entire message
reaching its destination.

The problem was reported to be:

Disallowed attachment file length found (287) - potential virus

Please contact your IT support personnel with any queries regarding this
policy.

Your message was sent with the following envelope:
"

Couldn't find out what the max length is.

1) Maybe you know what it is.
2) maybe you could add it to the spamcheck

This is a bug of the server-side antivirus. It has wrongly flagged your message attachment as a virus because of its size.

Interesting as even though it talks about file length, sending the same file with a shorter filename worked!

I had misread the message and thought it stated about filename as the error below:

One or more of the attachments (3F3F3F3F3F3F .pdf) are on the list of unacceptable attachments for this site and will not have been delivered.

Consider renaming the files to avoid this constraint.

The virus detector said this about the message:
Report: Report: MailScanner: Very long filenames are good signs of attacks against Microsoft e-mail packages (3F3F3F3F3F3F .pdf)
