My settings worked for 1 set of emails I sent but not for the second time.
smpt.bellaliant.net
pop3.bellaliant.net

What is the problem and how may I fix it?

I can connect to both servers here with Telnet. Are you sure your internet provider is not blocking port 25? In such case ask your mail server to provide an alternative port.
