Sending e-mails using iWEB

Hi,

with the actual version of MaxBulk Mailer, it should be possible to publish the "newsletter" with iWEB (or any other programm) and only fill in the link to the site. I used the format "website" and the linked webpage (my newsletter) appears in the preview.

If I send out the e-mail, the recipient receives a blank e-mail.

What do I do wrong?
I hope anyone can help me.

Regards

Gavin

Is this with current v6.7? What does your document look like? It is a big picture?

Yes, it is 6.7, but still the unregistered version. The document looks like a regular newsletter, some (small) pictures and text.

Are those pictures available somewhere online? Have you tried to copy and paste the code to a MaxBUlk Mailer document and preview it?

Hi, now I had some time...

I copied the html code from my iWeb newsletter to MaxBulkMailer (MBM).
Almost nothing was correct, no pictures/backround/colours at all, only the plain text was there, but also with some "?" and several other wrong letters.

So I built a little newsletter in dreamweaver and copied the html code to MBM. In preview everything looked great, but if I send it out, I found several problems.

1. Safari: everything looks great, also the links inside the e-mail
2. Outlook 2003: nothing works, I receive only weired letter combinations instead of an html e-mail
3. Thunderbird: looks good, but the links inside the e-mail don´t work
4. Yahoo: looks good, but the links inside the e-mail don´t work
5. web.de: everything looks great, also the links inside the e-mail

You guys got any idea?

Regards

Gavin

You have to check your HTML code. Not all code is compatible with all the email readers. There is a list of known incompatibilities here: Email Client HTML Capability Chart and if you are using CSS you may also read: Guidelines for using CSS in email newsletters.

Note that MaxBulk Mailer sends your code as is. What you see here is how good a mail reader is rendering HTML.

About your links, avoid the use the TARGET keyword. It kills links in many mail readers.
