send too slow

eveything is working, but my list has 45.000 addrress.
the speed is very slow, I'm sending aprox. 10 mails by minute.
the server is ok, very powerfull, the connection is ok, very fast, but mails goes between the application and the server very slow.
any idea?

How many connections are you using? How many address per group? What interval? What is your operating system? If it is a PC, do you have an anti-virus software checking outgoing messages?
