Question about error 550

Hello all, I'm getting a lot of postmaster emails with the following:

Action: failed
Status: 5.5.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550

Does this mean that most of the email addresses are dead or is it something on my server side or configuration?

Any help is appreciated.

550 is a generic error. It uses to mean the address is dead but in the bounce you should also get a comment about the error.
