I've been trying to send an email blast for a few days now, and I'm having trouble connecting in order to send. Here are my current settings:
SMTP host: smtp.verizon.net:465 [Verizon says to use port 465]
Authentication: ESMTP
I am definitely using the correct Account ID and Password.
Verizon also says to use Secure Sockets Layer. Is there any way to make that happen in Maxbulk Mailer?
When I click Send in the Delivery tab, here's what I get:
[01] 12/26 10:13:52 ~ Status: Opening connection for delivery...
[01] 12/26 10:13:52 --> Connecting socket [1] with 2 entries to smtp.verizon.net:465 Port:465
[01] 12/26 10:13:52 ~ Status: Connected
But then nothing happens. And up top, it says, "Looking for smtp.verizon.net:465."
It makes five attempts of 120 seconds each, then disconnects.
Can anyone help? Thank you.
