Hey gang,
I just sent around 15,000 emails on my own Web Server with 10.9.3 OSX Server.
Time Warner Business Class ISP with 5 MB upload. Static IP
The Settings in Maxbulk Mailer were set at:
All At Once
and 5 connections.
All the emails completed, but a few hours later I noticed nothing was going in or out on that email address and all the others on my server under my domain. I went into Terminal and used: sudo postsuper -r ALL
a bunch of times. It would show thousands of emails still in the server, with different amounts each time I sent the above command. Finally I just deleted the rest of the mail queue with: sudo postsuper -d ALL
Everything went back to normal in moments.
Looking at the Settings, what should I change it to to avoid this problem in the future?
It recommends 250 group emails. Plus, I also set it to 15 minute intervals.
I have NOT tried this yet. Is this a good setting? Or is something else recommended?
thank you,
Jeff Michaels
