Not receiving any Bounced emails

I set up an email to be sent to 2000 email addresses in batches of 250 every 30 minutes. After the first batch was sent I received 30 bounced emails back to my inbox (as expected). When I sent the 2nd batch I had a similar response. The strange thing is, that after sending the next 6 batches I did not receive 1 single bounce whcih is difficult to believe.

I then resent the email to the original list of 30 bounced email addresses and added one email address which I know to not exist. I did not receive one Bounced email back.

Does anyone know whay this might happen.

I am using an SMTP server which has been setup on a Virtual Private Server if that is of any relevance?

It can take sometimes a couple of hours for a bounce to be sent. Usually it can take up to five days.
