Mailing lists aren't keeping changes when I make them

My different mailing lists aren't keeping changes when I make them in MaxBulkMailerPro 8.4.4.

I can change the name of a business, for instance correct a typo, but then when I go to use that mailing list in a different mailing, I look at the company name to see if the fix was applied, and it has reverted to the original copy of the name, the way it was imported from Apple Address Book. This is true with email addresses, firstname and surname. Nothing I change sticks, and I am saving after every change. Help!! Need to send this mailing and make sure the 1700 companies are correct. Thanks in advance.

When you edit a list, do you select it first from the list pull-down menu? Do you click on the save button after the modification? To use a list do you select it from the list pull-down menu?

Yes, when I edit a list, I select it first from the list pull-down menu and I always use Save.

The real issue is I have many different lists, and the same company can be in many of those lists. I have a Lodging list, a Restaurant list, etc. all within my 1700+ contacts. If I make a change on one of the lists to a company name to clean it up when it imports incorrectly, it seems the changes I make don't apply to the exact same company that is included in one of the others lists.

For example if I import this company, "AAA Appraisal Service" it imports incorrectly as Aaa Appraisal Service with the 2nd and 3rd A's coming in as lower case. When I change them back to AAA the change only happens on the list I happen to be on, I want it to be a blanket change for that company, so that the listing is correct across all the lists.

Also anytime a capital letter imports following an & (B&B for instance) it changes during import to B&b. If I fix that on one list, the change is not happening when I look at it in the others lists. Is there a way to make a change affect all the lists?

Part of the issue rears it's head when I choose "Multiple Lists" as well.

I guess the ultimate question is, is there a place to work on the complete database after importing, that will successfully correct ALL the listings no matter what list they are in?

Is it possible that hitting Command S (normally Save in any program on a Mac) is not the same as hitting the Save button on the list?

None of this would really be an issue if I could figure out how to properly import the list in the first place from v-cards in Apple's Address Book. Anytime there is a second capital letter in the company name, it gets changed, for instance RV Sales Company becomes Rv Sales Company, thus requiring me to fix it on the list.

You can drag and drop cards directly from Address Book to MaxBulk Mailer. Have you tried?

Yes Stanbusk, I can drag and drop new cards from address book with no problem, but this does nothing to help with all the other questions. Plus, if I've fixed a card, and I try to add it to the list, a duplicate already exists...
Help, anyone??

To update a card delete it first, that way you will not have a duplicate. The Address Book support we offer is only for importing. You can also use the Import From Address Book menu.
