Importing plain text

I am working on a iMac. I am importing a list of names and emails from Text Edit. So names are one column and emails are another column. But when I import to Recipients, it does not import first name. Instead, in the column with Firstname, it has imported the user that comes before the @ of the email address.

I attempted to export to a tab-delimited/comma-delimited program. The program I exported to is Text Edit and I chose non formatted plain text. The problem is this type of program does not work when importing to Max Bulk Mailer as suggested in your response. It is a Mac problem that others have experienced. Is there a Mac person in your department who has accomplished this import with a Mac? I have tried all the stuff I could find such as the above link.

MaxBulk Mailer is able to import plain text only. What I explain on the page I sent you the link of works 100%. I guarantee.

It did finally work. Thank you.

Instead of importing, we had to drag the file to Max Bulk.
