icash upgrade incompatible with OS

icash offered me an upgrade but when I installed it I got: "You have Mac OS X 10.6.8. The app requires 10.7" Then when I tried to download the previous icash version 6 it tells me my file needs a newer version of the software to be opened (and I have to purchase again as the old activation code doesn't work)! I'm stuck!

Use the last version of iCash v7 available for Mac OS 10.6
It is available here.

The only way to remove that message is to use very last iCash version. The one here.

Catch 22: I can't use the upgrade because I have an older OS and I can't open the old file because I've already attempted to open it with the new upgrade!?

Is the only answer I upgrade my Mac OS?

It is weird because a file gets converted only when the application has successfully launched. Anyway upgrading your OS is a good idea and Mac OS X upgrades are free.
