How to get the subscribe/unsubscribe link onto your e-mails?

I have downloaded the "script", but I am a novice and could use a "roadmap". Is it possible to post a minor "subscribe/ unsubscribe for dummy's" type of thing?

I downloaded it, but don't know how to apply it to the program.

I'm a novice

The jargon is lost on me.

I have gotten as far as opening it with my "notepad".

As far as saving & uploading? I have no experience with this sort of thing.

1. how am I editing the script?

2. What kind of a file am I saving to my desktop?

3. What's an FTP server?

4. what does it mean to Chmod the mlm folder to 777?

#1 With a text editor. TextEdit on Mac OS X or NotePad on Windows.
#2 I don't understand your question. Please be more specific.
#3 I recommend you the following:
FTP 101 - A Beginner's Guide.
#4 CHMOD is a command to change the permission of a file. You can do that with your FTP software. They all allow it.
