How to filter selection in eMail Extractor

I would like to extract only those emails in a file with a particular domain extension (e.g., .edu, .mil, .gov). How can I do this? I tried using Rules, but couldn't get the result I wanted.

You can do that using the 'Rules' panel in the preferences. You can mark as bad emails ending with given characters.

Do you mean I have to basically do it in reverse? That is, rather than select the extensions I want, do I have to mark anything I DON'T want in the rules as bad, and what's left should be the data I am seeking?

You can do anything you want actually but it is better to mark what you don't want as bad, yes.
