font bug

Using 8.4.7 on Mac with Mavericks.

I open a file -- it shows a Monaco font (but the original file is not Monaco)

I change to Times then save (or 'save as' to create new file) but when I open the file again it is Monaco again.

Anyone else having font issues?

Is the message format 'Styled Text'?

Yes - styled text is enabled.

I tried a number of other fonts and only Times has this weird behaviour.

Times New Roman seems to work OK as an example.

Perhaps your font file is corrupt? or you have duplicate files for that font? You can check that with your system font tool.
