It seems to me it would be a good idea to include a dialog box asking if one really wants to change the recipient list in a message where all or part of the message has already been sent. I have done this inadvertently a couple of time and all the info on who has and has not received the message disappears.

Feature request — Changing lists after having sent email

For this to work you would need to have the means of detecting whether the the "send" command has been given for any given setup. Once the "send" command has been activated at least once, a dialog box with something like "Do you really want to change this recipient list?" should appear whenever there is an attempt to change the recipient list.
