Error when clicking on UNSUBSCRIBE link

I added the UNSUBSCRIBE link on my newsletter. But when the link is clicked from the email, i get the following error dialog box.

Error: Subscription cancellation failure
We're sorry, but the cancellation of your subscription to list 'List123' has failed due to a server error. Please wait a while and try again. If the problem persists please contact us as [email protected].

What do I need to check on the server? What kind server error will cause unsubscribe to fail?

Are you sure MLM is properly installed on your server? Have you tried to log into MLM with your web browser, to create a list and add a recipient to it? Any error?

Able to log on to MLM from web server but can't create new list and insert email item.

Install of MLM was successful. At least that's was the message at the end of the install process. How can I know if MLM is installed properly. Is there something that I can do to test?

If you use mySQL, are you 100% sure your mySQL data is correct?

Don't understand what you meant by mySQL data?

This link work but when you try to subscribe you will see the same error.

Sorry, I meant the mysql settings in the lm_settings.php file. Are you sure that data is correct, both the server address and the credentials?
