error message for MLM

I'm trying to run the init script and get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_set_charset() in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/7197/domains/dancouto.com/html/mlm_pro_php.php/mlm.php on line 1612
