Does MLM only work with remote lists

I just installed MLM on our site. I sent a test email using a list I created locally in MaxBulk Mailer. My recipients have opened the email but no stats show when I hilt the subscribe button on MaxBulk Mailer or using the MLM web page. Do the stats show only when using a remote list?

Yes but make sure to select the 'Styled Text' format or send HTML. If you select Plain Text you will not get opening stats, that format is the only one that is limited to click-through tracking only. Also, messages flagged as spam/junk will only generate click-though stats, no opening stats.
