Deleted recipient list file

Hi.

I'm experiencing some serious difficulties.

I was updating a recipient list, and had been saving new recipients for about 10 minutes, to a list called "Everyone". Then I added a recipient and pressed save as normal, though this time, out of the blue, I was asked to type the name of the list. I pressed cancel, and tried again a couple of times, but it was the same. So I typed in "Everyone", and it asked me if I wanted to replace the current "Everyone" list, which I agreed to.

I then noticed that there seemed to be two "Everyone" lists. I checked to see if they both had all of the recipients in them, which they did. So I deleted one of them. Now I had one "Everyone" in the list, though, when I tried to load it up, it was now empty.

It seems that my recipient list of over 1000 names is now deleted. I have no other record of them. I need to recover this list urgently, and have purchased Data Rescue II.

I need to know what this file looks like, and any other instructions on how to get this file back.

Since several past versions MaxBulk Mailer no longer deletes lists when you do from the program. Instead of that, they are moved to the '~/Library/Application Support/Maxprog/MaxBulk Mailer/Trash' folder. To recover your deleted list just move it from this location to the '~/Library/Application Support/Maxprog/MaxBulk Mailer/Lists' folder.

Thanks for that.

I have now re-installed the list. There is one thiing that is puzzling me though, the list that I have re-installed is a version from a few weeks ago with just under 800 names, rather than the latest saved version, which had 1001.

Why is this?

This is the list you have deleted. I guess you somehow overwrite a list with another giving the same name.

The list I deleted had 1001 recipients on it. I checked thoroughly before deleting it.

Could it be something to do with the bug that caused this problem in the first place?

Also, are you making plans to fix the bug?

For file handing we simply use system functions. Perhaps it is some kind of privileges problems. Anyway I never heard of anybody else with this problem so far. The best, if you have time, is to try to reproduce it the same way you did with some dummy list and give me the exact step sequence so I can reproduce it here as well.
