Data-driven optional tags

Hello,

I am interested in automatically populating the value of the optional tags for my recipients using either data from a text file or a mySQL database. how might i do this?

Am I correct in assuming that when i import recipients these optional tage values need to be there as well or can I define (and subsequently redefine for future emails to the same recipient list) these optional values for the same set of recipients later?

You have 20 optional fields. You just need to import the data to them. Once done you will be able to use the corresponding tags.
