Cross-Platform compatibility (mac to Windows)

Trying to open MBM files created on a Mac on a PC. The program launches, but the file never opens. Not when double-clicking in the finder or when going to the File Menu in MBM and choosing Open. Is this expected? I tried several different files, and successfully opened them on 2 different Macs.

Current 8.5.1 fixes that problem because the RTF standard is now used on both Mac and Windows versions. Previous versions were using styled text that was completely different on the Mac and on Windows.

Have you tried 8.5.1?
