Connection log doesn't match recipient list status

Hi,

I'm doing a resend on a list of 24 recipients.

There are the addresses which are being retried:

[email protected]
- this apparently succeeds according to the connection log but I get a red icon next to it in the list

[email protected]
- this fails because the domain is not currently available

[email protected]
- this was added to the list after the first go & works OK

My issue is with the first one ([email protected]). Can anyone enlighten me as to why the delivery looks OK in the connection log but Mailer ultimately leaves me with a failure.

The only error you have in your connection log is:

My point exactly. Address [email protected] has a domain issue, so I'm expecting it to fail.

Recipient [email protected] has a red icon (with an exclamation mark) next to it in the list. Each time I do a "send to all unsent recipients" it's included.

The recipient list window is telling me there's a problem with [email protected], but the connection log is telling there isn't a problem.

The connection log was in the initial post. It shows no error against [email protected]!

My problem is that the recipient list window shows a problem. And because it's showing a problem, every time I resend to the list, [email protected] is being resent the message.

I've enclosed a screen shot although most of it is redacted. Recipient 1 is [email protected].

Select that list and click on the info button. Select the failed delivery on the list. What do you get at the bottom?

You haven't selected the failed delivery so there is nothing at the window bottom about the error.

Yes the server is returning an error, but NOT for the email in question (i.e. [email protected]).

The error is for a different email address (i.e. [email protected]).

Can you send a message to that address only and send me the connection log?

The delivery to [email protected] was failing because, at the time, the domain hadn't been renewed so the address wasn't available.

Time & tides wait for no-one, the domain in question is now back online & the mailshot is ancient history.

We might as well close this for now.
