Can't import remote list

I'm sure this is something stupid I'm doing, but I can't seem to figure out how to import a remote list.

Here's what I'm doing.

I press the import button
a form comes up with 'Import Presets' 'Server', etc.
I Press the 'import' button at the bottom, and a popup comes up that says 'SQL Query error.'

I think there's a problem with 'Database' in the 'SQL Query' section.
I tried putting the name of the database there- same thing.

I tried putting the name of a list there, and it changed to 'Access denied for user ****** to database 'test' '

I've been poring through the forum and am at a loss.

Oh, and this may be related, but how do you have multiple lists?

It's a list of email addresses for maxbulk mailer. You know, name- business-email... It's on a MySQL 5 server. I've made sure that the server is capable of external access.

Okay, I figured it out (this part, anyway) In the directions it wasn't explained that you have to understand MySQL to use this. There's no explanation of what you have to type in the queries section. You need to make a tutorial about that, or fix it so you don't have to know MySQL to run it.

I have a new problem now. I learned basic SQL and got my lists to appear in Sequel Pro, but I can't get it to import in MaxBulk Mailer. It doesn't give me any errors, but nothing shows up.
