can't import contacts

Hi, I just started with this prog. and am having problems importing my contacts. There are about 4000 in a tab sep txt file. I go thru the import routine and everything looks good, I hit import, the barber pole turns then nothing. No contacts. At least none I can find. Can anyone shed some light on this? I like the prog. and it would seem to suit my needs but this is a deal breaker.

Thanks for the fast reply. I did everything as explained in the help and online but still no joy after the routine runs. No contacts imported.

Are you sure? Are you really lining-up the fields properly? Is your file email field in front of MaxBulk Mailer email field and checked?
