Cannot open old files from vs 3 to vs 6

I upgrade my iCash version from 3 to 6.
When I try to open an old file, the program says it needs to be converted. Then I say yes, but iCash doesn't work and does't open the file.
Can you help me???? :roll:

PS The iCash version I own, is 6.5-IT (Mac Intel Snow Leopard)

What do you mean, do you get any error when you open the converted file?

I'm not sure I can explain it in English...
I mean that the program starts to convert my old file (and the blue bar appears in the window), but it doesn't finish the consversion, it seems blocked (I tried many times, and I waited also a long each time, but nothing!)

Have you tried with a backup file and/or with an older version? Older versions are available here.

No, but a friend of mine with vs 6 of iCash and a Mac Intel opened without problems one of my old files. Why I can't?

obviously I'll try getting another version also, as you suggest me!

Yes, you can go progressively, use a version that can open your file and then try to check that file and recover it if necessary. Then you can try to use a newer version. I believe your file has something wrong since iCash is able to open all kind of files.
