blank Word attachment

I have a colleague using MaxBulk mailer who sent a message with a Word document attached. Some recipients received the attachment just fine, and some received the attachment, but the document was blank. Any ideas as to what went wrong?

That use to be the result of a buggy server anti-virus. Usually the whole attachment is being removed though.

I thought it was odd that some people got the attachment and it showed the text and some did not. Is there a fix to the buggy server anti-virus? Or, is it on the end-user's end of things where we have no control?

The best with attachments is always to avoid them and add a link to the file stored on your site. That way it will never fail.
