Hi all, first post, sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, I did have a look but couldn't find any info on it
I have bought Maxbulk Mailer to help a client send out PR mailings. They have put together an invitation which includes an animated gif. When we send the animated gif through MBM, it gets through to everyone, but the animation doesn't work on some machines. I cannot figure out what the difference is between machines that do work, and machines that don't. The recipient 'bug' seems to be on some Macs while others work fine. It is difficult to troubleshoot as all of my Macs work fine with it. When the gif loads on bad machines, only the first frame shows and it sticks there.
The emails are sent as html only, and the html code (with identifying info replaced) is this:
I do not understand how the mail sending application can affect the behaviour of an attachment sent in some cases, but it seems that something is up with it..
I would be grateful if anyone could let me know if they've had a similar problem, and how they solved it, or if I am barking up the wrong tree by looking at the sending mechanism. It seems that other bulk mailers (they haven't told me the name of the others) do not have a problem sending. Certainly sending directly via Mail on the mac results in the recipients not having a problem.
Thank you.
