8.4.5 Authentication Error

I'm using 8.4.5 for the first time today and I'm getting Authentication error while communicating with server. None of my settings have changed. I've tried rentering the password but that doesn't help. I've tried setting up a new account and reinputting all the smtp settings again and that doesn't help.

Can you please give me any ideas what has changed ?

Can I download 8.4.4 somewhere and test that version ?

Update: I managed to download 8.4.4 somewhere, re-installed that and it's working fine. I can only assume that 8.4.5 has some bug.
