quits after 2000

I have a list that I must clean - it is about 9,000 email addresses.
Verifier gets through about 2,500 and quits - everytime. I just bought it today, it's brand new . . . any advice?

It doesn't actually quit, it just never goes any further. It acts like it's working, but it's not.
 
left it running for 24 hrs

Left it running . . . still only processed 548 this time out out 8882, I also tried it off my DNS, but it's way too slow . . . I'm running OSX. Bought it yesterday, so it's the latest. Please answer, getting frustrated and very disappointed.
