Lost css formatting in web mail programs (web page)

For a web page email...I placed my css inside my doc like you suggest, and it looks fine when I read it from Internet Explorer and MacMail, (and when I view the web page directly online). But when I read it in any web based mail program, like gmail or mail2web.com, the css formatting is lost. Is there a fix?

Some webmail systems have limited support or no support at all for CSS.
